Our Staff
The Happy Tails Doggy Daycare staff is passionate about working with dogs and providing exceptional care for them. We truly enjoy coming to work each day and love creating a fun and safe environment for your dog’s home away from home!

Cathy
Cathy always knew she would run her own business one day. She has spent her career working in small and large businesses to gain the knowledge to run her own. Her experience with a sick dog and her general love for all dogs led her to move from the corporate world to doggy daycare. She worked at two other daycares before taking the leap in 2004 to find space and cultivate staff and clients. She started with 4,000 sq ft, added to reach 8, 000 square feet, then moved to 22,000 square feet in her current building. She currently has over 100 dogs a day that are having fun, learning social skills and using their energy in a productive way. She is part of several networking groups, participates in the Franklin Downtown Partnership, is a member of Medway and Franklin Dog Parks and supports many of the local rescues. She is always taking seminars and reading to learn about new ideas in the dog world. Her goal is to help as many dogs as possible be happy and healthy @ Happy Tails Doggy Daycare.

Brenda
Brenda helps keep things running smoothly here at Happy Tails for over 7 years. She doesn’t get to hang out with us dogs as much as the other staff, but she see our names every day and loves when she gets to meet some of the us coming in and out so she can match our names to our faces. She clearly enjoys what she does and thinks she has the best boss and staff…plus two office dogs…Irwin and Jance! She is mom of two of the greatest people she knows (her daughters Alyssa and Danielle), has cats named Cosmo (who thinks he’s a dog) and Daisy (skittish rescue). She also has a granddaughter and a couple grand-dogs and cats that she loves dearly. In her spare time she loves to plan vacations, travel and try new things.

Front Desk Manager

Cory
Growing up, Cory didn’t have the opportunity to share her home with pets, but has always loved dogs and now get to tuck us in at night when we have fun sleepovers! When Cory turned eighteen, she rescued her first dog, a black and tan coonhound mix puppy that was named Tillie who would lick Cory’s face and it was game on after that. She currently shares her home with Ginger, a petite, 3 year old pitbull mix and Todd, a one year old American Bully. Cory officially jumped into dog care in 2008 after having been a painting contractor for many years. Since she started working at kennels, doggie daycare was a whole new world when she started. She has always had multiple dogs in her home, but she finds that seeing the dynamics of multiple dogs from different households was and still is a learning experience every day. The one thing she has always loved is one on one time with us dogs because that’s when you really get to see our personalities shine. So when she was given the opportunity to work overnights, it was a no-brainer, and she is clearly hooked. She’s been doing overnights so long that she knows most of us just as well as her own in terms of what/how much we eat, what our beds/blankets look like, how we sleep, how we prefer their meals and all the things that make us special. She clearly loves her job (and us!) and has been part of the Happy Tails family for over ten years.

Erin
This is Erin and she started hanging out with us in January of 2020. Every day she is learning more and more about us and we can tell she loves taking care of all the sweet fur babies that come in to play!. She graduated from UMass Dartmouth with a BFA in illustration and in her free time, she enjoys listening to music, watching new and exciting tv shows, and creating art. She even has a small business on the side creating portraits of peoples beloved pets using materials such as micron pens and watercolor. She hopes to someday create a children’s book about dogs. She thinks it’s an honor to work with such an amazing staff (and of course amazing dogs!) and looks forward to what the future entails!

Chelsea
This is Chelsea and she has done a lot in over 5 years at Happy Tails having worked as a Dog Handler, Staff Training Manager and Floor Manager. It’s like she has been able to grow at Happy Tails right alongside many of us fur babies! She has always found animal behavior interesting and looks forward to expanding her knowledge. Growing up, Chelsea played sports year round including soccer, field hockey, ice hockey, snowboarding and sailing and was even a sailing instructor! She taught small classes of children in a classroom setting as well as on the water. Between her experience as a sailing instructor and her time at Happy Tails, she has learned a lot about behavior, being patient, first aid and how to be a professional and responsible leader, for humans AND animals! Some fun facts about her are that she grew up with a Standard Poodle and a Wheaton Terrier has recently welcomed a Mini-Bernerdoodle named Josey. She is also dog mom to her Pit Bull/ Lab mix Kody. Someday she hopes to own a Basset Hound because they are so goofy! During the winters you can often find her in the mountains snowboarding on my free days and in summers she enjoys spending time with her family in Maine and going to concerts. She looks forward to meeting all the new pups who have fun with friends at Happy Tails!

She thinks that working with dogs is such a rewarding experience and cannot imagine herself doing anything else!
