Our Facility
Happy Tails Doggy Daycare is part of a 22,000 square foot facility that houses Destination Dog, an alliance of ten women-owned businesses that care for your dog’s life cycle.
Reception
Our reception desk is staffed from 6:30am to noon and 2:30pm to 7:00pm. In addition to drop off and pick up during these times, you can make reservations, purchase daycare and overnights, get feedback on your dog’s day and ask any questions. The front desk staff is trained in dog behavior and customer service and we want to help you and your dog with whatever needs occur.
When picking up, parents put their dog’s name in the reception area computer. This is connected to digital signs that are all around the play floor and outside yard. This alerts staff that you are here and we bring your dog out to you. This system is designed to minimize anxiety for the dogs upon going home.
Daycare
Happy Tails’ play floor is 16,000 sq feet of rubber flooring with padding underneath to support your dog’s joints. The floor is sectioned into smaller areas with chain link fencing allowing multiple compatible groups to play at the same time. The dogs enjoy the many child safe plastic jungle gym structures in the play areas. There are also crates and child car beds on the play floor allowing dogs to self-regulate and take a break from play.
The day care space has an air conversion system which pulls fresh air into the play floor and is expelled at the opposite end of the floor.

Outside Yard
Happy Tails’ outside play yard is 5,600 sq feet. It is designed for good filtration with pea stone as the base, garden cloth next and untreated wood chips on top. The yard is sanitized twice per week with a bleach solution. All solid waste is promptly topped with baking soda to reduce odors, double-bagged, and disposed of in our dumpster. Liquids are drained into a holding tank under the play yard and are pumped out periodically.
This yard is sectioned allowing multiple compatible groups to play outside at the same time. There are play structures year round and pools in each area during the summer.
Overnights
Our Overnight area is an internal room with no windows allowing the dogs a calm space without interruption from distractions, inclement weather or fireworks and loud noises.
This area has every way a dog can possibly sleep. We have crates, exercise pens, beds, a couch, an overstuffed chair and dogs can even sleep in the bed with the handler. We want to duplicate how your dog sleeps at home to help them feel safe and secure. Our daycare dogs also nap in our overnight room. Nap time 12 to 2:30pm is where we turn the lights down low, put on classical music, give them a snack and sit with them. The intention is to acclimate them to this room so when they sleep overnight it is familiar and they know that this is where they get food and settle.
Four ways we make your dog feel safe and secure for an overnight:
- They have been in this room
- They sleep exactly as they do at home
- The same staff that works with them during the day, sleep overnight with them. We know who their friends are, what they are working on, but more importantly they know us.
- Room is internal with no outside influence. We have dog-safe pheromones for their calming effect, white noise, soft lighting, plenty of cuddly warm blankets, covers for the crates, frozen kongs and lickey mats.
